I’m always looking for more ways to incorporate grapefruit into my diet. As I revealed here, grapefruit prevents arthritis and helps you lose weight, among many other health benefits. This means I 110% rationalized why this cocktail was healthy as I sipped on not one, but two of them this past weekend.
Ingredients
(Serves 2)
Coarse margarita salt
8 oz. ruby red grapefruit juice
1 oz. lime juice
2.5 ounces reposado tequila
1 ounces triple sec
Grapefruit (to garnish, photograph, or taste)
Directions
1. Moisten the rim of two rocks glasses with lime juice.
2. Turn them upside down and dip each glass into the margarita salt. Fill them with ice and then set them aside.
3. Combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, tequila and triple sec in a cocktail shaker. Shake over ice until chilled.
4. Pour contents into the two salt-rimmed margarita glasses.
Love ‘em or loathe ‘em, a grapefruit photographs beautifully! Side note: What do you think of this photo style? I’m trying something new.
Cheers!
